Twitter Inc (NYSE: TWTR)
Twitter is having a strong day in the market today after the company’s CFO urged investors to look at user data in a different way. In case you haven’t been watching, TWTR has been struggling as the result of poor user data. However, the company’s CFO argues that it’s not as bad as you would think. As a matter of fact, he claims that Twitter’s audience is just about as big as Facebook’s. In a statement, Noto pointed out that tweets are viewed through search and often quoted in news media which simply can’t be argued with. However, Twitter has no way of monetizing tweets viewed in news and search and therefore, in my opinion, the claims aren’t very valid. To find out more on the hard data, click here!
ZIOPHARM Oncology Inc. (NASDAQ: ZIOP)
Finally, ZIOPHARM Oncology is continuing its upward trend today. The stock is currently (1:48) trading at $12.42 per share after a gain of 4.28% so far today. Now for many investors, the big question is, “ ” To figure that out, we have to look back to when the gains started which, in this case, was in the midst of a correction. The stock found support at $7.94 per share on August 24th and has seen gains since. Between then and now, we have seen strong reports from analysts which have kept the investor excitement on the stock rolling. In my opinion, we will continue to see gains at least for the next few trading sessions, pushing the stock up to resistance at $13.96 per share. While it is likely to pass resistance, this is where we’re also likely to see some turbulence. So, there’s still room for gains before things get volatile.
