Carnival of Money Matters – First Edition

4

SunsetHey everyone, today is an awesome day. It marks CNA Finance’s first blog carnival. Truth is, I’ve wanted to do this for quite some time, but I never seemed to have the time to put everything together. Well, that’s not the case anymore…here’s the first edition…

The One Submission That Made The Cut

So, I didn’t get too many submissions on the first go around, and truth be told, most of them were really bad. However, there was a few that caught my eye and one that made the cut. That post came from Justin at RootofGood.com. The article was about fixing things around the house. I really liked how well it was written and the tips that Justin provided. To read the article, click here. I’d like to publish more submissions next week, so submit your articles here!

Editors Picks

Because there was only one submission that met the cut, I figured I’d share with you some of the best articles I found digging around the blogosphere this week.

Frugal Rules is one of my favorite blogs out there. This week, my Frugal Rules pick is Grayson’s article explaining why him and his wife don’t celebrate valentines day. Click here to check it out.

Cat at Budget Blonde explains what credit card churning is. Check out here article here.

With everything that’s surround the BitCoin virtual currency, this post at Modest Money really caught my eye. Although Jeremy didn’t write it, the guest poster did a great job of putting it together.

In this post at The Frugal Toad, Paul gives some great tips on what to do if your credit card information is stolen.

One of my favorite blogs to follow is The Frugal Farmer. Aside from being filled with awesomeness, Laurie is also a pretty incredible writer. My favorite post from her this week is about credit card truths that you may not know. Check it out here.

Another blog that I really enjoy is Eyes on the Dollar. Kim gives great personal finance advice! One of my favorite posts ever from her was published last Friday. It’s a post about morons, glasses and more! Check it out here.

Finally, we have a post from Jason over at the Phroogal Blog. In this post, he explains what it takes to become a millionaire before you’re 30. Believe it or not, it’s pretty mind boggling. Not because it’s hard, but because it’s sooo friggin’ easy! Click here to read the post!

  1. Wow, Joshua! I’m honored that I made the cut! And I’m glad you enjoyed my personal experience with DIY stuff around the house. So far February has been much slower for my toolbox. Although I did just repair the computer desk I’m working at right now (after my kid stood on the slide out keyboard tray and it snapped!).
