Markets Playing Safe, Giving Back Some Gains

Flat Stock MarketsThis week has certainly been historic so far as the DOW reached levels significantly higher than it’s previous all-time high. As of this morning, however, the DOW is down -124.45 points as of 11:12 A.M., EST. The S&P is lower as well, down -13.34 points. And the NASDAQ is lower as well, down -19.68 points. American markets are struggling big time at the moment.

In the foreign world markets, the Asian markets suffered some bad losses with the Nikkei 225 down -111.56 points dropping to 18,703.60. The Hang Seng fell hard -237.40 points as well to 24,465.38, down almost one full percent. The Shanghai Composite was actually up almost half a percent some +16.48 points to 3,279.53. In Europe, the FTSE 100 is up +8.52 points to 6,897.65. The CAC 40 is pointing strongly higher up +49.81 points to 4,910.06. The German DAX has strongly reversed course now up -85.92 points to 11,366.28. The Swiss Market is up nicely +26.61 adding to levels coming in at 8981.29 points currently. Lastly, the Tel Aviv TA-100 Index closed up, better by +1.50 points to 1,356.85.

Oil may be stabilizing some analysts believe, while others still await the big fallout. Crude currently sits at 50.00/barrel, down .52 cents 1.03% on the session so far. NYMEX Nat. Gas is finally up .04 cents to 2.75/MMBtu, up some 1.40% today so far.

Precious metals continue to struggle, with Gold down -2.50/oz to 1,204.70 and Silver down -.12/oz to 16.25. Platinum is also down -11.10/oz to 1,179.50 and Palladium is also down -4.70/oz to 828.00. COMEX Copper is also down 1.00/lb on the session to 264.65/USd/lb.

As for the Agricultural Commodity Futures, the day is weak is CBOT Corn down 4.25/USd/bu. to 386.75. CBOT Wheat is also down 11.50 to 494.50/USd/bu. ICE Cocoa is down as well -9.00/USD/mt to 3,013.00. ICE Cotton #2 is down .55/USd/lb. to 63.08, down some .86% on the session. Lastly, CME Live Cattle is sitting down by .15 cents at 151.90/USd/lb.

The Penny Stocks have been extremely interesting in yesterday’s session with a few standout performers. BYSD was up yesterday 80% to .0018 after trading 139.3M shares on the session. The stock opened yesterday’s session at .0012 and mustered up the strength to rally to nearly .002. Watch this stock today for heavy potential movement. CEHC is coming off an extremely active session from Monday but found itself closing at .0013 unable to sustain its upward movement. Keep an eye on this one for another break to the upside. ENIP made some movement to the wrong direction in yesterday’s session, closing down -30.30% to finish the session off at .0023. The stock had a prior close of .0033 and felt some serious giveback. Watch for continued falling or a pop back on this one. Yesterday’s big news stock was ERBB, however, trading some 98M shares on the session which is 6-month record breaking volume essentially, next to one other day. The stock tagged fresh lows of .0075 leaving investors dumb founded. Analysts, traders, investors, and marijuana stock junkies are watching this one very closely for a potential trend reversal. MHYS is also another stock that appears to be heating up. The stock closed off yesterday’s session at .0002 but had the energy to tag .0003 several times. Watch for this stock to break the .0003 range and make a run. Lastly, SUTI is also on our watch list for today trading on lower volume yesterday of only 6.9M shares but conjuring the strength to close up 20% at .0006. The stock was just sitting on .0004 on Monday morning. Watch for this one to make a potential turn to the upside as well.

Markets are getting very interesting as major indices still sit on very high levels leaving some investors uneasy. Today should be a nice indication of investors/traders feelings on the markets. We’ll keep you posted.
